Shwetlana Jha ‘28
Lana is one of YUQC’s Co-presidents! She’s a Junior in Saybrook studying Math and Physics. She is interested in the intersection of math, physics and CS and am currently doing Quantum Error Correction research in Prof. Shruti Puri’s lab. Her fun fact is that she loves to dance!
Edoardo Campanile ‘29
Edoardo is a sophomore in Pierson from Rome. He’s double majoring in Physics (Intensive) and Math (Intensive) and also completing the Quantum Science and Engineering Certificate. His main areas of interest are fundamental physics, quantum computing, condensed matter physics and pure math. He is a research assistant in the Lehnert Lab, where he uses hybrid electromechanical superconducting systems to measure quantum effects. Outside of physics he enjoys playing football, pool and ping pong.
Emma Wilmott ‘28
Emma is a junior in Silliman majoring in Physics & Mechanical Engineering. They are currently working on particle physics simulation and detector research for STAR and ATLAS. When they’re not on science hill, you can usually find them hiding out in the art studio.
Eashan Hatti ‘27
Eashan is a computer science senior in Davenport. He works on program verification research with a particular focus on verification of concurrent programs and quantum programs. Fun fact: he grew up in West Virginia.
Cameron Baird ‘28
Cameron Baird, the social chair for YuQC, is a second year math and physics major in Saybrook college. His interest primarily lies in post quantum cryptography which he is leading a group project on currently! He also has interests in quantum error correction. He currently conducts research in the Rakich lab on cavity optomechanics, which has significant implications on the scalability of quantum computers. A fun fact about him is that he has been an avid rock climber for nearly 9 years now.
Shujia Zhang ‘29
Shujia Zhang is a sophomore in TD studying physics. She coordinates invited talks for the YuQC club and is interested in quantum hardware and experimental physics. Outside of class, she enjoys building electronics and exploring music through instrument design.
Nicholas Skevis ‘29
Nicholas Skevis is a sophomore in TD majoring in Physics (Intensive) serving as the industry outreach chair and leading the Quantum Game Theory project. He is doing research in optomechanics and computational astrophysics at Yale. Outside of classes, he is involved in the Yale Undergraduate Aerospace Association, where he contributes to the design and construction of a liquid-fueled rocket. He also teaches courses for middle/high school students through Splash at Yale. He enjoys cooking, reading, and taking trips with trains.
Troy Kudrjavtsev ‘29
Troy Kudrjavtsev is a sophomore, Stat major, and varsity tennis player at Yale. His interests include quantum computing, hedge funds, aviation, learning Mandarin, and motorcycles.
