Diya Naik ‘27
Diya Naik (PC ‘27) is a physics (int.) major pursuing the quantum engineering certificate. She is most interested in quantum error correction research and quantum optics. When not doing physics, she enjoys drawing and writing. Diya is excited to co-lead YUQC and share the exciting world of quantum with other students.

Shaun Pexton ‘26
Shaun (he/him) is a senior in Silliman College from the UK. He’s an Applied Physics major, with a passion for anything quantum. He loves music - in particular jazz, and its surprising connections to quantum mechanics - and is an avid triathlete, competing in endurance events all over the world.

Lily Jiang ‘28
Lily is a sophomore in Branford studying physics. Outside of YuQC, she helps organize high school math contests hosted at Yale and does research in a microscopy lab. She recently got into tea and trying New Haven restaurants. Please give her recommendations!

Jeffrey Wei ‘27
Jeffrey is junior in Hopper studying physics and computer science. He comes from the small town of Acton, Massachusetts. He is interested in quantum computing because it is the perfect intersection between physics and computer science and is excited to see how the field evolves. Last year, Jeffrey was a project co-lead with Danny for QBasics II, YuQC’s introduction to quantum information science. This year, he is the lead organizer for YUQC’s quantum hackathons, including Qiskit Fall Fest and YQuantum!

Darren Chen ‘28
Fenlei Chen is a sophomore in Silliman college double majoring in EECS and math. He is originally from China and moved to CT when he was 10. His main interests are quantum optimization and error correction.

Hyunjo Kim ‘28
Hyunjo is a sophomore in Ben Frank studying Physics & Philosophy. He’s originally from Seoul, South Korea, and went to school in the UK. He is super interested in quantum technology and has done research at labs here at Yale. He is excited to contribute to YuQC’s mission as the Sponsorships & Outreach Chair.

Emma Wilmott ‘28
Emma is a sophomore in Silliman interested in math, physics, and the arts. She enjoys learning about experimental quantum and particle physics and currently works on nuclear physics research in Wright Lab. When she’s not on science hill, you can usually find her hiding out in the art studio, or in the buttery bothering Diya for pset help.

Nick Wojnar ‘27
Nick is a junior in TD majoring in Physics and Math. Currently, he does research in pilot-wave hydrodynamics, and is excited to be the Projects Manager, while additionally leading his own project group on computational matter physics! He loves playing chess, powerlifting, and listening to music with friends.

William Zhong ‘28
William (he/him) is a computer science and economics major from Clarksville, Maryland. He is excited about the potential for quantum computing to solve new problems and advance science. He enjoys drawing and reading philosophy.

Shwetlana Jha ‘28
Lana is a math and physics major in Saybrook. She’s interested in quantum error correction and the intersection of physics, math, and computer science. A fun fact about her is that she loves to dance and listen to music.
